Teacher TipsDuring the Online ExperienceAs your students work with the interactive story, circulate quietly to troubleshoot as they work. Allow them to work at their own pace as they read and make decisions. Provide any support you feel they need. Remind students to use the Glossary to find the meaning of any word they don’t know. Remind students that they need to either print or email their responses before they close the story or shut off the computer. If they exit the story, the site, or their web browser, or shut off their computer, their work will be lost. We strongly suggest that you allow students to complete the entire story the first time they engage in this interactive. However, we have divided the story into several sections so you or your students can revisit parts of the story to reinforce or clarify story content and to facilitate class discussions. You can reach each of these "pause points" by using special URL links. The stopping points and corresponding links for each story are listed in the story synopsis for each story in the resources section. |
