Before Watching the Drama...
- Preview the tape to see how you can best use it as a resource
in your science or health classes.
- Have students create an EnviroMysteries journal for taking
notes about the video, collecting data from follow-up lesson
experiments, and recording observations about the quality of
indoor air at home and at school.
- Consider starting a bulletin board where students can post
magazine and newspaper reports related to indoor air pollution,
asthma, toxic mold, etc. Jumpstart the news board with several
current stories you find, such as this report from CBS News
about one school's mold problem
that was causing kids to get sick.
- Encourage students to ask you to pause the tape at any point
if they need clarification on a detail.
