Family Fun

Online games provide a great opportunity for families to play and learn. Consider making Inside Stories the focus of a family night. As you work through a story, talk about what is happening, predict what happens next, and make decisions in which every member of the family participates.

The Great Green Web Game

This game tests your knowledge of how consumer choices affect the environment. As you answer questions and ‘shop green’ the Envirometer gauges the cumulative impact of your choices. The centerpoint on the Envirometer represents the impact of an average American household — at the end of the game you can compare this average to your own impact on air quality, water quality, natural habitats, and the sustainability of our climate.

Global Warming Interactive

This game brings users back to Brazil in 1960, and asks them to make choices in various positions of authority (policy advisor, economy advisor). In the words of the game "For the next 100 years, you will be responsible for managing some of the decisions made by the Brazilian Government. If you choose wisely you can guide Brazil to a path of sustainable development and insure that the world 100 years from now is a place we would want to live."
